Solutions · Frying retrofit

Robotic fryer retrofit for your existing fryer.

A cobot for an existing fryer, not a new fry line. ArmMate assesses the station, installs a 6-axis arm beside the vat you already own, trains the crew, and supports the cell after go-live.

Systems from $19,000 plus installation. You own the robot. A site assessment confirms the fryer fits. Installation depends on the site.

What the retrofit includes

  • Assess the station

We walk the line, look at the fryer, the baskets, the hood, and the people working beside the oil. The visit decides whether a cobot belongs there.

  • Keep the fryers you have

The retrofit is built around the fryer already in the kitchen. Oil, menu, and the vat stay. We do not start by selling you a new fryer.

  • Specify a 6-axis cobot

The arm is a standard 6-axis cobot. Brands we integrate are Fairino, Duco, and Dobot. The brand is chosen for reach, payload, and how the station is built. ArmMate is not affiliated with those makers.

  • Install and program

We mount the arm, fit the wrist tool to your baskets, and program the cycle for that fryer. Pickup, lower, cook, shake, drain, and present are set on your line, not on a showroom floor.

  • Train the crew

The people who will run the station get floor time before we leave. Training covers start, stop, and what to do when a basket or a path needs a human.

  • Support after go-live

Remote help and on-site response are part of the engagement. The plan is written for the cell we installed. See service plans for how support is structured.

Service plans describe remote support and on-site response. How it works is the four-phase sequence. Whether this fryer is a fit depends on the site assessment.

Safety, in plain terms

Hot oil and a moving arm share a small floor. The cell gets a station risk assessment, a documented e-stop, and lockout steps the crew can follow. People still work next to the fryer. The arm takes the repetitive basket motion. It does not remove the need for a trained operator.

Standards referenced on the assessment are ANSI/RIA R15.06 and ISO 10218, with collaborative-operation checks per ISO/TS 15066 where they apply. The exact guarding depends on the site assessment.

Food and cleaning

The wrist tool and basket interface are specified for the food zone on that station. Heat and washdown are confirmed for your fryer and your cleaner, not from a generic chart. How the crew wipes the arm and the tool is part of training.

ArmMate does not claim a food-safety certification unless your proposal says so. This is equipment integration, not a health-department approval.
